Accounts

Introduction

An account is where funds are stored in Money Manager.

There are 5 types of accounts:

1. Bank account
2. Card account
3. Cash
4. Debt account
5. Crypto wallet

Basically, they differ only in name and serve to group accounts. But one type is still different - this is the Debt account. Funds in such accounts are considered liabilities, not assets, and this affects the reports.

Creating new account

Click on Accounts in the top menu to open the list of accounts. Then click on Add… to open the form for creating a new account.

Fill in the fields and select the color that will identify the account on the charts, then click the Add account button to save the data.

TIP

At any time in the future, you can change the value of any field, including the Initial balance - all total amounts will be recalculated automatically.
